Welcome to the online version of the StrongFirst Barbell Course! In this introductory lesson, Brett and Fabio lay out the expectations of the course and cover a number of safety considerations.
This lesson introduces you to the mobility complex, an essential element of safe training. We cover a number of exercises that will help to prepare your body for exercise.
This lesson covers the foundations for the Barbell Course. These essential skills will be present throughout any future Barbell Lifts.
This lesson covers the Back Squat. The Back Squat is a classic test of lower body strength and a high skill exercise.
This lesson covers the Zercher Squat. The Zercher Squat offers many unique advantages over the back squat and the front squat. The Zercher Squat is easy on the wrists, elbows, and shoulders, and does not require as much upper body flexibility.
This lesson covers the Military Press. The Military Press is a classic test of upper body strength that requires a solid midsection. Before viewing this lesson you may want to revisit the "Plank" from the Foundations lesson.
This lesson covers the Sumo Deadlift. The Sumo Deadlift is considered a classic test of whole-body strength. It is defined by your hands gripping the bar inside of your legs for the deadlift.
This lesson covers the Conventional Deadlift. The Conventional Deadlift is considered the "ultimate" test of strength. It is defined by your hands gripping the bar outside of your legs for the deadlift. It is a powerful builder of strength for the whole body.
To conclude the course, Brett joins Fabio to talk about continuing your Barbell training. Proper programming is critical when it comes to practicing and perfecting individual techniques.
