Additional Information

1. Training modalities / disciplines in use at your gym currently
Bellbar Strength Lab is a StrongFirst-based strength and conditioning facility. Our primary training modalities include kettlebell training, barbell strength training, bodyweight movements, mobility work, and general physical preparedness. Our programming emphasizes foundational movement patterns and skills, including kettlebell swings, get-ups, cleans, presses, squats, snatches and jerks; barbell deadlifts, squats and presses; and bodyweight strength such as push-ups and pull-ups. We also incorporate clubbells, Olympic lifting fundamentals, and boxing/conditioning. Across all modalities, our focus is on strength as a skill: proper technique, appropriate tension and breathing, quality repetitions, progressive loading, intuitive training and sustainable long-term strength rather than training to failure or fatigue for its own sake.

2. Programming in use for private or group classes
Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday group classes center around Built Strong, Plan Strong and Programming Demystified philosophies using kettlebells, barbells and bodyweight training. Tuesday AM group classes incorporate clubbell techniques with flexible steel training/animal flow. Tuesday PM group classes focus on weightlifting techniques for beginners including barbell clean & squat and clean & jerk. ALL private and group training emphasize quality movement, progressive strength development, appropriate intensity, and long-term consistency. All of our group programming is built primarily around kettlebell, barbell, and bodyweight training. We focus on fundamental movement patterns—hinge, squat, push, pull, carry, and core stability—using movements such as swings, get-ups, cleans, presses, squats, deadlifts, snatches, jerks, push-ups, and pull-ups. Programming is intentionally minimalist, with movements selected to complement one another rather than adding volume simply for the sake of fatigue. Loads and volume are waved throughout the week, and members are encouraged to adjust intensity based on training frequency, recovery, and skill level. We prioritize technique and quality repetitions and generally avoid training to failure. Private training follows the same principles but is individualized around the client’s goals, abilities, injury history, movement quality, and experience level. Private sessions are also used to teach and refine kettlebell and barbell skills before clients progress to more advanced group training.
