In the past I've performed warm up stretches that include toe touching and seated bending over open legs with feet touching. I'm sure these stretches round the spine. Do you suggest I eliminate these? If so, what stretches, if any, would us suggest to replace these?

As far as eliminating or replacing specific stretches we would need to know a bit more about your injury and exercise history (do you have a history or lower back pain etc....)
